Took the plunge and upgraded my Mac to OS X Yosemite.

The Mac rebooted fine and even opened the previously unclosed windows from before reboot.

Opening JBoss Developer Studio prompted me to download the correct version of Java and then took me straight to the Apple website where I could download Java for OS X 2014-001.

This installed quickly and easily.

What Still Works

So far the following work fine and without incident

  • Java
  • JBoss Developer Studio
  • Drools
  • JBoss EAP
  • Fitnesse
  • Camel
  • Spring

Haven’t found an OS X App that doesn’t work.

First impressions

  • Java and it’s cohorts run significantly faster under OS X Yosemite.
  • No crashes.
  • Slick interface
  • Mail takes a long time to migrate
